Denville Medical & Sports Rehabilitation offers therapeutic massage therapy. Our massage therapists are licensed nurses who are certified in massage therapy.

They are trained in many types of massage. These include Sports Massage, Shiatsu and Swedish, as well as Acupressure and Reflexology. All of these therapies are incorporated to help the patient relieve stress and muscle tension. They are also used to help aid in the healing process. Our massage therapist plays a large role in healing and balance of the patients muscular-skeletal system and is a valued part of our team.

Sports massages work deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibers and connective tissues, and flushing away toxins. Regularly getting a sports massage will increase joint mobility and flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury during exercise.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massages uses firm pressure to reach deep layers of muscles and tissues. It physically breaks down muscle adhesions to relieve muscle pain and aid in injury rehabilitation.


Effleurage is a series of massage strokes used in the beginning and end of a massage to warm up and soothe muscles.

Reduce chronic/acute muscle spasms, Release capsule adhesions/Reduce pain, increase movement

Myofacial Release

Myofacial release can be used to treat skeletal muscle immobility and pain. It relaxes contracted muscles which improves circulation and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles.
