Pain Management

Pain Management

The Doctors and therapists at Denville Medical provide an interdisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of pain. Due to the nature of certain injuries, some of our patients are limited in the pain relief they can get from rehabilitation. In keeping with our philosophy to offer all services for your health and wellness under one roof, the specialty of Interventional Pain Management is offered at Denville medical and sports rehabilitation. Pain management is offered for treatment of painful conditions in or near the spine and other joints in the body. During your initial visit the pain management doctor conducts a complete pain history and focused physical examination. All pertinent medical history and diagnostic studies are carefully reviewed. Additional testing or diagnostic injections may be recommended to determine the specific origin of your pain prior to the initiation of therapy. A comprehensive treatment plan is discussed with you and the treating team. This intervention along with rehabilitation will assist you in returning to a normal pain free life.

Nerve Blocks

Nerve blocks are used for pain treatment and management. There are several types, but most commonly they involve an injection of medicine to an area of pain that blocks a group of nerves that is causing pain.

Radio Frequency Eblaision

Radio Frequency Eblaision creates an electrical current from a radio wave that sends heat to a small area of nerve tissue. This procedure is used to reduce pain.
