An electric stimulation (e-stim) high and low voltage ultrasound machine combines both the benefits of an ultrasound machine with an electric stimulation machine to promote a faster and more efficient treatment for pain relief.

What can the high voltage ultrasound/e-stim machine be used for?

The high voltage ultrasound/e-stim machine is used to target musculoskeletal pain and increase mobility and function of the body. In order to do so, sound waves and heat are used to reduce inflammation and increase circulation which are two primary factors which create pain.  The sound waves projected by the high voltage ultrasound/e-stim machine causes local tissue to vibrate. These minute, yet deep vibrations, have the ability to break down scar tissue, relax muscles, reduce swelling, and help promote optimal healing.

The combination of electrical stimulation with ultrasound benefits a diverse patient population. It is known to have the most success with patients who suffer from:

  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Sciatica
  • Arthritis
  • Tendonitis
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Musculoskeletal Injury

Where can I get treatment with a high voltage ultrasound/e-stim machine?

As a treatment option to the majority of patients, the high voltage ultrasound/e-stim machine is an in-office treatment option at Denville Medical and Sports Rehabilitation Center. Patients who are pregnant or have pace-makers are contraindicated for this treatment but Denville Medical and Sports Rehabilitation Center has successful alternatives for those patients.
