WHAT CAUSES SHOULDER PAIN?


There are two types of pain associated with shoulder pain. Pain or discomfort which does not last longer than six weeks is commonly known as acute pain. On the other hand, if pain persists more than six weeks, the pain can be an indication or something more serious or chronic. Diagnostic Options for Shoulder Pain

Your range of motion and muscle strength will be measured including a detailed ortho-neuro exam. To gain further details into the source of your pain, additional diagnostic tests may be required:


  • X-ray
  • CT or MRI scan
  • Electromyography (EMG)
  • Computerized Range of Motion (ROM) and Muscle Test with the BioDex
  • Computerized Strength Test with the BioDex
  • Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) test
